Some friends of mine got together last minute to record our colleagues percussion groups debut performance in a small DIY space on the West side of Chicago. Since we had limited time and space to work with, we opted to keep things simple by using a wide spaced pair of Schoeps CMIT’s at the back of the room and a Shure VP-88 up front to capture the dynamics of the performance.
